Daiwa Tournament 800 Seatbox

The New Daiwa Tournament 800 Seatbox is the top of the range offering by Daiwa. When we saw the images of the new range of Daiwa Seat boxes, we were excited, to say the least. Over the last number of years, a lot of boxes on the market were very evidently made in the same factory and most brands just added their own twist to call it their own. This new range of Daiwa Seat boxes is certainly not following that trend and they seem to have designed this Seatbox from the ground up.

Not only does it look the part but it's full of fantastic new features let's have a look at them now, to begin with, the box has a fully retractable molded foot platform it's nice and big enables you to have a nice big area to work from and keeps your attachments well away from you when sitting on the box.

The box comes with the new system 36 fully extendable legs which are fully compatible with the new Daiwa D-tach attachments you can totally personalize your setup and get all your gadgets to hand.

Stability, when I’m sitting on my seat box, is of utmost importance, and the 36mm Diameter legs give me this so no matter where I’m fishing, I can get 100 comfortable. The frame on this tournament box really does set it off and make it look the part also you've got a nice little spirit level there just to make sure you can get 100% level in those awkward banks.

One of the new features on this box is a 180-degree turning and locking handwheel enables you not only to get the handwheel out the way when you're packing the box away but also enables you to get at it from any angle if any of your accessories are blocking your way to tightening that leg up.

The tournament box comes with two side drawers perfect for small accessories like plummets disgorges and spare shots it also comes with little dividers that can be taken out or put back in to totally customize your box exactly how you want it.

All the legs of the box are fitted with a threaded top this can be used to add the leg extensions that enable you to lengthen the legs on those days when you're wading into slightly deeper water or an uneven bank but also a handy little tip, they're perfect to put the butt rest when your feeder fishing a or a pole sock.

The New Daiwa Tournament 800 Seatbox comes with three winder trays, The first one is fitted with wide winders ideal for river floats the second one is fitted with long winders perfect for those longer floats that you might well use on deeper lakes and the third one which is my favorite for commercial fisheries contains short winders.

The new Tray System is completely interchangeable with the other two seatboxes in the range some people may buy the 80 0 and then purchase a Daiwa 90 seatbox to use when you don’t feel you need to carry everything with you on a river match or evening session.

The new tray system incorporates a compression seal this keeps all your tackle and your rigs that you've made at home absolutely bone dry on those days where you've got that driving wind and rain there's nothing worse than getting your terminal tackle all damp.

You've got a perforated lid or base this helps just dry out any of that moisture that does happen to get in when you're lifting the trays up and down to access all your little bits and pieces all in all with a compression seal and the perforated base, you're going to keep all your gear absolutely bone dry

The new two-tone cushion which is tough durable and very comfortable incorporates a pole rest in the front for those days when it's windy and you want to fish with the pole between your legs just makes it a lot easier to control.

Daiwa has made a great job of this new flagship seatbox and it's well worth a look if you’re in the market to replace your current box.
